LOCAL NEWS UNSEATS OPRAH AS RATINGS LEADER IN COLUMBUS
NBC 4 (WCMH-TV) 4:00 P.M. Newscast #1 Program in Columbus the Week of June 23rd
(Columbus, Ohio) After three weeks on the air, First at 4, airing on NBC 4 (WCMH-TV), 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., has climbed into the #1 position in the time period!

First at 4, from NBC 4 on the Square in downtown Columbus, premiered on Monday, June 9th. First at 4 is the first local newscast at 4:00 p.m. in Central Ohio.
First at 4 is anchored by Ellie Merritt and is joined by Cabot Rea, Colleen Marshall, Mike Jackson and Amy Basista. In addition to the day’s top stories, in-depth coverage of important issues, weather and traffic, it features stories about good things happening in Central Ohio because good news matters. It also features stories and tips to help viewers save money. It is a program that families can watch together, a great transition from late afternoon into dinner time.
Ellie Merritt is an Emmy award winning journalist and has held reporter and anchor positions in Minnesota, Missouri and Ohio. Ellie has lived in Central Ohio since 2002. Ellie grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Ellie and her husband have a one year old daughter and she is committed to community service. She’s a member of the Childhood League and Junior League of Columbus and raised money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by running in the 2004 Columbus Marathon.
Other newscasts broadcasting from NBC 4 on the Square are NBC 4 Today and NBC 4 Midday, weekdays from 5:00 a.m.-7:00 a.m. and 12:00 pm.-12:30 p.m., respectively. Co-anchors Marcus Thorpe and Anietra Hamper and Storm Team 4 Meteorologist Bob Nunnally broadcast from NBC 4 on the Square. NBC 4 Traffic Reporter Monica Day broadcasts from the NBC 4 Studios on Olentangy River Road.

ReplyDeleteI think First at 4 would be great if it weren't for that crazy Ellie chic....oh wait, that's me. :) I am so lucky to have Allison (Alley Cat) as my partner in crime. She's the best producer I've ever worked with.
