Invisible

In the dictionary invisible means an invisible thing or being. It doesn't really give you a good sense of what it actually means.

Lately I feel invisible...in so many ways and in so many situations. I'm not sure if it's because I'm in the middle of life and there's nothing "big" on my plate right now...or maybe it's because I'm coming down from the high I had at the end of 2009 (buying a house, moving, holidays etc) Regardless of the reason...it's a funk I've been in and one I need to have go away.

I think most of it stems from work. I'm not the kind of person who constantly has to say, "hey look what *I* did". I want my work to speak for itself. I'm not looking for constant attention, but the occasional comment or compliment my way could make a big difference. Often times I wonder if people even notice when I have a day off.

I think the other thing is the fact that at least the last half of 2009 was a big time for us. We are so thrilled with our house...and our new dog is providing some much needed excitment. The hard part is not going crazy in this time in between buying a house & settling down and thinking about the next step...a family.

Anyway..this is just all babble...it's one of those days I guess.
