Since I spent 5 years as a vampire, driving into work at weird hours...I'm still new to this whole rush hour thing.
But here's something I've noticed about Columbus drivers.
1. They are inconsistent with their speed.
I don't understand why one minute they drive 55 in the far left lane, and then the next drive 80. Do they suddenly look down at the speedometer and say, "oh crap I better speed up" Doubtful
2. They don't know how to merge.
Isn't it in the driving test that you CAN'T effectively merge at 45 mph???
3. No matter how many times you drive on the highway...there's ALWAYS going to be a back up for no reason. This drives me nuts!

Oh my gosh, I know what you mean about merging!! You have 200 yards of ramp to gain speed and then merge into traffic, but you can't merge into 65-mph traffic at 20 mph!
